This and the next few steps are designed to help you get Excel in shape so that it can run StatWizards add-ins. Each step is independent. At the end of each step you must reboot your computer, run Excel, then attempt to run a StatWizards module. The reason for this is that Excel must establish links to Visual Basic libraries in order for the Wizards, which are written in VBA, to run.
To bring Excel up to date, go to Start | All Programs | Microsoft Update and follow all instructions. When the web site asks you choose between Express and Custom updates, choose Custom. Make sure you request all updates that apply to Microsoft Office and particularly Excel. When you are done, whether the program asks you to or not, make sure you restart your computer. Load Excel and try to run one of the Wizards to see if you encounter any more problems. If you do, go on to the next step.
