Follow this step only if the anti-virus program on your PC protects macros. Most programs do, but some do not. If yours does offer this protection, you can reduce macro security from within Excel and remain safe from virus attacks.
If you are running Excel 2003 or earlier, follow the procedure below. If you are running Excel 2008 or later, click here.
Run Excel.
From Excel's main menu, select Tools
| Macro | Security.... A
dialog box titled Security will
open. 
Reset the security to Low, as shown in the above example.
Click OK to close the Security dialog box. Your security settings are now changed. Try running a Wizard. If you continue to encounter one of the error messages listed in the Troubleshooting Overview, click here to go on to the next step.
If you are running Excel 2008 or later, the procedure for changing macro security is more complicated.
Click
on the Office symbol at the upper-left corner of Excel's main window.
. You
should see a dialog box titled Excel
Options. 
In
the left-hand panel, click Trust Center.
The right-hand
panel should change to this: 
On
the right -hand pane, click Trust Center Settings.... A
new dialog box opens. 
As shown in the image above, select Enable all macros.
Click OK to close this dialog box and subsequent dialog boxes. Your security settings are now changed.
Try running a Wizard. If you continue to receive an error message or messages, go on to the next step.
