Overview of Cluster model

For this tutorial we will use data from the Hannover rheumatoid arthritis study available on the Statistical Innovations web site.  The data in this example consists of responses to a mail survey regarding various musculo-skeletal symptoms.  Persons were asked to indicate whether they had any of these symptoms today: back pain, neck pain, joint pain, swelling and stiffness.

Running a four-cluster model on the data set yields the following results in Latent GOLD.

Normally you would have to save these results, but we have done this for you in the text file ex1Cluster.txt, installed along with the wizard.  In this tutorial we will import the model results into Excel, format them and interpret the results.  To begin, run Excel with a blank worksheet and load the Format Wizard.  When you have done this, run the wizard and proceed to the next step.  Note that the wizard is copy protected and has to be activated before you can use it.
