To use the Format Wizard, you must have a text file that contains results from a Latent GOLD model. You can easily generate this file from Latent GOLD by selecting File | Save Results... from Latent GOLD's menu. For example, let's say you ran the following latent choice model using Latent GOLD Choice.
Select File | Save Results... from Latent GOLD's menu. You should see the following dialog box.
Make sure you select All Views using the radio buttons at the bottom. Enter a File name and path, then click Save. You now have a text file that can serve as input to the Format Wizard.
You can invoke the wizard in one of two ways. From Excel's menu, the Tools menu item, select LG formatter, or press the three keys Ctrl+Shift+L simultaneously. The wizard will take you through a series of steps. After each step, the wizard will pause and tell you what to do next. When you complete a step, invoke the wizard again to continue. The steps are:
Step 1. The wizard asks you to select the text file you created above. It then imports the model into Excel.
Step 2. The wizard adds formatting to the spreadsheet.
